changing names

my daughter received a used copy of the nintendogs game. the dogs have already been named, and she'd like to change them. how do we go about doing that?...

Problem with main menu

My daughter's new Nintendogs game for DS won't display the icons on the main home page that allow the owner to buy supplies, go out etc. She's been teaching the dog to recognise her name, getting it to sit etc, but this seems to be all she can do. And the main menu doesn't change....
